The Peterson Companies is one of the region’s largest privately owned real estate developer and is one of VA-Spaces well established and valuable clients. VA-Spaces were asked to relocate their headquarters from their Fair lakes location to the Monument Corner area in Fairfax, VA which features a mixed-use development. The Monument Corner Development has a vibrant suburban center with a mix of retail, office, and residential spaces, with multimodal transportation options. VA- Spaces designed a new office space that included two floors of a building with a custom designed connecting private stair. The new layout and design included a sprawling new reception connecting to a large office lounge area with an adjacent divisible board room. The space is adorned with Custom millwork and wall paneling connected with detailed marble floors, lighting and glass walls to allow for views to the outside from both sides of the building. The office perimeter is lined with fully furnished offices with intentional glazed office fronts to maintain visibility to the exterior allowing natural light to penetrate the main open office plan. Meeting rooms and interactive areas are also located around the office perimeter to encourage collaboration. VA-Spaces delivered a full interior architectural design, including furnishings, signage, and detailed 3D rendering package.
